Now located atop The Ridge in Fun Town, Duplo Playtown is best enjoyed by kids ages 5 and under and features the new Legoland express train, plus over ten interactive playhouses – including a barn, hospital, a market and a mini-Labyrinth.
Older kids and adults alike can climb into one of the three Kid Power Towers in the middle of Playtown, which offer stunning views of the resort and a fun ‘free fall’ at the end of the ride.
To celebrate the opening day, the children of the Ronald McDonald House locals received train conductor hats and commemorative badges when they boarded the Legoland Express, which for some of the smaller guests was their very first ride in a theme park. They also enjoyed the character encounters and had exclusive access to explore Duplo Playtown.
“Here at Legoland California Resort, we like to be first for everything. For many of our young guests, this will be their first time on our train, climbing the Kid Power Towers and playing with all of the interactive playhouses in the new Duplo Playtown, ”said Peter Ronchetti, General Manager of Legoland California. “It is an honor to have families at Ronald McDonald House enjoying the new area and spending the day creating memories.
Duplo Playtown, Legoland Express Train, and Kid Power Towers are now open to Legoland California Resort guests and are included in park admission. For more information visit Legoland.com/California or call (760) 918-LEGO.
