LEGOLAND California Resort welcomes new brick-built stadium

As previously reported, the world’s largest brick-built stadium has arrived at LEGOLAND California Resort as part of Miniland USA Park.

A new addition to LEGOLAND California Resort, SoFi Stadium was built by 25 master modelers who spent over 6,000 hours assembling the attraction. The brick-built LEGO stadium is the largest in the world, measuring over 30 feet long, 15 feet wide and 4 feet high.

LEGOLAND California Resort’s Miniland USA will host the SoFi Stadium, which was made up of more than 500,000 individual LEGO elements. The time-lapse video below shows the builders assembling the massive modular model, from seats and crowds to the pitch and players. A section of the stadium’s exterior has also been removed to allow visitors to easily view the interior.

The SoFi Stadium model is the largest build of its type to date, meaning it’s on track to break the current Guinness World Record, which is held by the Allianz Arena recreation at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort. A previous social media post on the construction of the SoFi stadium was shared last month, revealing how digital sculpting software was used to help construct the model’s interior.

In addition to the new SoFi Stadium attraction, LEGOLAND California Resort also recently received a visit from Jurassic World: Dominion actor Jeff Goldblum. The star was there to take a look around the park’s newly dinosaur-filled Miniland attraction.

As a reminder, LEGO for adults 10299 Real Madrid – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is also available now, giving builders the chance to build their own massive stadium, one of the greatest LEGO sets of all time.
