Kat Von D Lists a California Home With a Weird Pool

“LA Ink” tattoo artist Katherine Von Brachenberg, known as Kat Von D, announced in October 2021 that she is giving up the California sun for Indiana and now has has put his beloved Victorian mansion in Los Angeles up for sale for $15 million.

And while the property has plenty of high-end amenities to offer a buyer, its overall look seems to reflect the makeup mogul’s trademark Gothic style.

At first glance, it’s hard to believe that the 13-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom estate was also featured in Steve Martin’s comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen” years before. Von D bought the house for $6.5 million in 2016Yahoo reported.

Built in 1896, the 3-story Victorian – nearly all 12,565 square feet – has been fully restored by Von Dwhich added a few upgrades, including a theater with a stage and a hidden bar, Dirt said.

After Von D bought another property in Indiana in 2020, she said that she had no intention of putting the LA home on the marketInsider reported, but has since changed his mind.

Von D, who got her first tattoo when she was 14, dropped out of high school at 16 to take a job at Sin City Tattoo in Los Angeles, Insider said. She would later star on the real estate TV show “Miami Ink” before landing her own spin-off series “LA Ink.”
