The Pacific Hills Banquet & Event Center in Laguna Hills canceled an “America First” rally after learning controversial Republicans would speak, the Orange County Register reports.
âAs soon as we found out who the speakers were, we immediately canceled it,â managing director Javad Mirtavoosi told the newspaper. “We just thought it would be better for our establishment to cancel.”
The pair are still selling tickets to the event while searching for a new venue, Greene campaign spokesman Nick Dyer told the newspaper on Friday afternoon.
âWe’re about to secure a location that will proudly host our America First Rally with Congressman Greene and Congressman Gaetz,â said Dyer.
The newspaper noted the context in which the event was canceled.
âIn addition to supporting the controversial former president and many of his policies, the couple have faced their own controversies.
