Investigators have found no evidence of foul play and believe the fire started by accident.

A family friend, Horacio Cisneros from Dos Palos, dropped by the house on Thursday. He told the Merced Sun-Star he was in disbelief.

“It’s a good family. They didn’t deserve that, you know, ”Cisneros said. “They’re going to need a lot of help from the community to get by.

Dos Palos is located approximately 80 kilometers northwest of Fresno.
